James is famous for being all about faith in action. It sometimes gets a bad reputation for being too work-focused. Martin Luther famously didn't like it. But a closer look at James reveals a book similar to Proverbs: wisdom for living a godly life. James is concerned with the fruit of faith. In other words, when we grow as disciples of Christ, our actions will show it.
